When i first bought my Blackberry Curve from the Phones4u shop it came with this RIM Blackberry Travel charger. This travel charger is very different to any other charger i have had before, as usually mobile phone chargers are plain chargers for the UK. The charger comes with two separate adapters, one being the three pin plug which is used in the UK. The other adapter is the two pin plug which can be used in various foreign countries. As well as these two attachments, there is the main bit of the charger, this is what you attach the plugs on to. The main charger is black and is in the shape of a chunky cuboid. The wire of the charger is quite long which is very convenient if you are like me and constantly on your phone whether it is charging or not! The wire is also as if it is a double wire, so you would think it would be less likely to break.


Attaching the adapters onto the main charger is simple and easy. All you do is slide the adapter into the space at the back of the charger, once the adapter is attached onto the main charger you will hear a clicking noise, then its good to use! Changing the adapter is also very simple, the back of the charger has a button with the word push engraved into it, you just push in the button and then slide the adapter back off, it couldn't be any easier.

Now you would think because the wire is double than other simple wires that it wouldn't break. But I am afraid my Blackberry charger did break. I found that after I had the charger for a long time, it stopped charging my phone properly. At first I thought maybe it was not plugged in correctly all of the time as sometimes it would charge. But then i eventually realized that it only worked if the wire was in a certain position, this meaning that my wire had sadly broken somewhere. So I then decided to just get a cheap charger, however this also broke as my rabbit chewed it. Then my phone also broke, so luckily i was given the money by my insurance to go and get a Blackberry, this meaning i got the Blackberry Travel charger again! This charger is going strong so far, however it could become like my old one and break!

But, this travel charger does have its advantages. It is extremely useful to those who travel abroad often as it is easy and saves them having to buy more adapters for their phone charger. I found that when I last went abroad there was never enough adapters! So this Blackberry travel charger will certainly come into use for me when I next go abroad.


These Blackberry RIM Travel chargers can be bought from the Amazon website for a cheap price of £4.54! I would recommend if you was too buy one that you bought it from Amazon as this is a super price.

I personally think this charger is excellent as it provides an adapter for the UK as well as an adapter for other countries but unfortunately the wire did break on my old charger, but I had been using it for over a year.
