Advantages: FREE, Very easy to use (user friendly), Runs happily in the background whilst you can carry on performing other tasks on your PC without slowing performance.
Disadvantages: No Complaints
My Pc was running slow for a few months and yet I performed de-frags, error checks, disk cleanup and all the neccessary tasks for a slow performing PC.
I then came across Ad-Aware and installed it. After AD-Aware had perfromed a full system scan, it had found 393 malicious scripts/adware/trackers and all sorts (not many as opposed to some of my friends who have been known to have had around 800).
I had them all removed immediately and since then I've had no probs with my PC's performance. The best thing about Ad-Aware is, it's free (personal use), although you can upgrade if you wish. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself, what have you got to lose, it's FREE after all!
