As a member of Oracle's Backup Solutions Program, Computer Associates has written an interface module that is tailored to meet Oracle’s backup design specifications. This module allows Oracle backup products to utilize CA’s ARCserve/Open solution for backup to and restore from sequential media such as magnetic tape. In order to use ARCserve/Open in conjunction with Oracle backup products, the Backup Agent for Oracle, which adheres to Oracle’s interface specification, must be installed.
