CCleaner is a FREE junk file cleaner for your PC; you can download it from filehippo.com or download.com and begin using it right away. Its a very user friendly program which you can trust wont delete files necessary for your PC to function properly and will do this with just a click of the mouse.

There are regular updates of the program; at least once a month which no more than a minute or two to download and install. This installation process is simple with the usual "next...next...next" principle.

The sort of files it cleans are; cookies and histories from web browsers, unused short cuts from the registry and much much more. On average you can reclaim hundred of megabytes of free space on your PC.

There is also a handy un-installer included in the program where you can quickly un-install any unwanted program or add on.

Along with the un-install feature there is an easy way to edit which programs appear and load when starting up your PC. A simple google search to find out what any program does or is can help you choose which ones you keep and which ones you stop. By having fewer start up programs you can cut the time it takes your PC to start by a good few seconds.

A handy feature of this program is that you can add an option to the menu when you right click on the recycling bin to clean files from there, without having to open the program.
