I have to admit only finding this program via reviews on here, and still ever sceptical I still went to test it!

CCleaner is a freeware product by the Piriform programming house. Freeware is a program type where you get to use the total program for free and the programmers ask for donations to keep up the funds to keep updating it and developing it for more platforms.

That said, the program now supports up to the new Windows 7, which is a cool feat being as W7 hasnt been out that long. Is that the testament to Microsoft's new business theories since the convoluted Vista? I'm not sure.

However this little tool is much better than the XP disk cleaner program, and with a built in registry cleaner too I'm finding this a rather useful program.

I'm installing it later on 2 more of our network computers, mainly used by the children to see how much of a improvement it can make to those.

It might be time to point out that if you run your standard windows defragment program it tells you how much space you have free, and even though I removed 2 movies I made of me in Guildwars I did go from 25% to 40% free. You need atleast 30% free for your computer to work at its best.

So even though it is a extra program it certainly does better than the standard!
