Advantages: free, simple, space saver, features, looks good

~~ INTRODUCTION ~~

I never heard of this program before until one day it came through my email, and I thought I would check it out. I like trying new things and making use of saved space on my computer as well, so I thought I would I would give this ago with nothing to loose.

~~ WHAT IS IZArc? ~~

IZArc is a freeware program for windows it helps to extract files on your computer and also helps to zip up files saving room on your computer. This program supports many formats, that I am not even aware of, so there is no need to have different extractors installed on your computer as this program does them all for you.

The program is easy and simple to use, to open up a file either double click on the zipped file or drag and drop the file into the main window of the program. In the left panel you will see the filename of the zip file, and in the main window to the right you will see everything that is in the file. Above the panels you will have options like new, open, favourites, add, extract, view and install all these are self explanatory so I will not go into these.

You can also make a self extractor file using this program, which you will find in the actions tab at the top of the program, this will allow you to make a zip file into a self extracting file, which means you wont need a archiver to open it, you will just double click it and it will run, this is ideal if your sending files to someone that doesn't have a archiver installed on their computer.

You can also convert data, like if you had a bin file you can convert it into a iso file, which is good because I have had so many files that I have had that have been bin or mdf and the programs I have tried to open them will not work and wont even run the file because it is unsupported, so the little program should help me a lot. Also you can do the same with ready zipped files too you can convert them into other formats so its easier for people without such archiver on their computers or if your transferring files.

~~ DOWNLOADING & INSTALLING ~~

The downloading procedure doesn't take long at all; it only takes a few seconds but does depend on your connection speed. Once you have downloaded it to your computer, find it, and then double click on the icon, the process will begin, just follow the on screen instructions, it will only take a few moments. Make sure you know where it as installed to so you know where to find it. Once you have it installed to your computer then you're ready to start using it.

~~ REASONS TO GET THIS PROGRAM ~~

Well firstly I wouldn't use anything else; you don't need to have more then one archiver on your computer, so takes up less space on your computer. It's simple to use, its free to download, you can do a lot with it. It as a clean fresh look about it, everything is easy to find, and if you get stuck there is always a help tab. Need I say more just go ahead and give it ago if your not already using it, what have you got to loose?

~~ FINAL THOUGHTS ~~

I wouldn't use anything else now, it's easy, and there is many features, looks good, most of all its free.
I know it doesn't seem like it doesn't nothing more then any other archiver but it saves space on your computer in having so many different ones on their for different types of files, but now I don't need them.
