Network File System

Network File System ... reach the goals of the organization. Information is at the center of business. And only one business is at the center of information. EMC is where information lives. A number of years ago Network File System or NFS was developed on UNIX platforms. This enabled UNIX servers and storage to communicate across a network and more importantly, to share files. NFS became a de facto standard file system, typically run on general-purpose UNIX servers.
