McAfee VirusScan ... have had Mcafee virus scan for quite a while now. I decided to buy it after a friend had bought it and told me about it. I have version 5, which was new when i first bought it. You can upgrade the version you have online though which is good, as you know you will always have the newer version of it. Mcafee virus scan is software that scans your pc to see if you have any viruses. Its very easy to download. Just put the cd in your hard drive and follow the on screen instructions. Once installed you are ready to scan your pc for a virus. Mcafee scans floppy discs, internet downloads, e-mail attachments, shared files, networks and online services. It destroys... McAfee VirusScan ... first time that I used McAfee I was not too sure about it as I was used to the Dr Solomon’s Anti-Virus product. When Dr Solomon,s was taken over I by Network Associates (NAI) we were told by our suppliers that we would have to use McAfee as that is what they would be supplying now. It seems that both Dr Solomon’s and the McAfee team had been using similar techniques to find virus using their different bits of software, so they were quite easy to combine together. McAfee VirusScan ... acquired a copy of Mcafee VirusScan V 4.03. I was pleased with the software and it detected a couple of viruses. However, I recently upgraded to version 5. I bought the software from amazon for £25 and expected improved virus detection facilities. I feel cheated because the virus scan engine is the same version as the one I already had and you can get a free upgrade to version 5 from version 4.03 anyway by clicking 'update' from within the program and downloading from mcafee.com! I found this out recently when I chose to reinstall version 4.03 because I damaged the disc on the newly bought version. Also, I had a problem with a virus on my computer whic...
