Advantages: Cleans yourhard disk well

Disadvantages: Can delete things you dont want to lose.

Norton Cleansweep can be a very useful program if you use it properly. it will clear out all those un desired files from your hard drive that build up over the course of time. I do however advise caution when using this program. So far as to say never turn off the safety sweep function.

The safety sweep is there to make sure that any files that are "possibly" needed are left well alone. I have never used this program once with the safety sweep turned off and everything be left working. It has a nasty tendancy to delete DLL files from some of your favourite programs.

You may think then why can you turn it off. Well the reason behind tht is that without deleting those "maybe" files you will never really get rid of all the junk off your hard drive. Unfortunately I dont think its a risk you really want to take unless you like re-installing software for most of the day.

It says it deletes Internet build up, well it does but so does windows disk clean. Clean sweep has more and better uses like removing those annoying old registry entries etc.

Worth buying in my opinion just dont let it become a hazard to your programs.
