Symantec Norton Utilities 2001

Maybe you're too busy to worry about fragmentation levels. Or, maybe you're too lazy to deal with computer maintenance. Perhaps you don't know your HDDs from your USBs. Whatever your predicament, Norton Utilities can save you time and effort. I bought Norton Utilites because it was on offer along with Norton Anti Virus. I wasn't too convinced it'll do what it says on the box. However, after installing the software, I was quite surprised with its usefulness. The software does a number of things such as defragments your HD, optimizes your computer, checks for windows problems, backs up system registry and even puts extra protection on the recycle bin. Norton Utilities 2001 is the ideal tool if you pc has started being sluggish, throwing up error messages, crashing on you, or just generally misbehaving. It's rather like an overhaul kit. Norton Utilities have been providing 'fix-it' software for many years and this is their latest offering. When you run the programme it gives you a huge list of things that are wrong with you system. I recently installed norton utilities into my machineand the results of the first scan of my disc etc alarmed me. according to all the scanning that had been carried out there was something like 19 faults.i opted for the repair faults option which rightly the programme did. on rebooting the computer i got as far as the windows logo at the beginning of the reboot when the computer crashed and kept on crashing time and time again,so i decided i would start the computer in safe mode. luckily i had backed up all my files previously and simply told the backup wizard to restore the files. to my great delight i have been able to get the computer operational again and have ...  Read the complete review

Norton Utilities is an excellent suite of programs all dedicated to keeping your computer running smoothly, error free. It has includes so many different application, I cannot mention them all, but here are my favorites: Crash Guard - This handy utility detects and fixes computer crashes. It doesn't work every time but is very effective most of the time. It includes an 'anti freeze' option on the Ctrl Alt Del window, this really does help. Win Doctor - This application will detect probelems in windows and fix them at the click of a button. It finds errors all the time, on first run it found more than 400 errors on my computer.
