Advantages: Easy to use, no problem at all, copies, resize, move partition with 1 click

Disadvantages: No ext3 support, you can't use it in windows Vista

Hi, This is an old, discontinue software which was bought by Symantec Corporation from PowerQuest company long ago.

Why discontinue?, They just work on 8.05 version and that all, they haven't release anything else since then

What does it do?
It's a computer program for hard disk drive partitioning, and its works perfectly fine with windows 98 and XP, you can create, modify and move NTFS or FAT partitions and the existing ones can be resized without loss of data.
It also has various other features, including being able to convert between FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS, modify the cluster size of FAT16/32 and NTFS filesystems, and merge adjacent FAT or NTFS filesystems.
Partition Magic is really easy to use, with nice graphics and a very easy guide to do what you need. Some times you apply changes without reset, and that's cool. Another thing is that you can see every partition in a disk even the unallocated ones.
Its come with other helpful applications, like boot magic witch let you create an modify a boot menu in order to install a different OS, like win98 or another winXP.
PartitionMagic is compatible with Windows NT, 98, ME, 2000, and XP but not VISTA!, This is important, that's mean it is useless with moderns computers.

I've been using this software for a very long time, i have create and modifies many hardrives, I would give 10 out of 10 but...

IT DOESN`T SUPORT EXT3! Witch means you can't modify Linux partitions!
Linux, for god sake!, I just discover Linux, and you Partition magic was not helpful at all! You fail me when I needed you the most!

For that and only that reason this soft sucks!, on the other hang, its works perfectly in windowsXP with any Harddrive you think of!

Summary: It was great soft until it failed me with a ext3 partition
