Symantec Norton Utilities 2000 ... Being a novice computer user I was told to invest in a utility programme to help get me through. What an excellent piece of advice that was!! The utility that I chose was Norton, mainly because everyone seems to stock it and it was recomended by most shop assistants. I installed it on to my computer and it gives me total peace of mind. All I need to do is run a system check ( a simple three click task) every three or four days and follow the simple instructions to keep my PC running smoothly. Symantec Norton CleanSweep 2000 Upgrade ... umming and aahing for a few weeks and reading reviews in ComputerActive I finally went and bought the Norton package of CleanSweep 2000 and Norton Anti Virus 2000. It worked out much cheaper buying the two and as I didn't have an anti virus package installed I thought it was about time. I didn't realised just how much rubbish had accumulated on the computer. Obviously without the Cleansweep you are able to delete a certain amount of stuff yourself but Cleansweep means you are able to delve deeper, for instance into the Registry without fear that you will delete something of importance. Norton SystemWorks 2000 ... was considering buying CleanSweep to help with gettin rid of all the old stuff that internet browsing leaves behind and I was also looking at updating my virus program from 99 to 2000 and for an extra 10 pounds, i bought the whole SystemWorks. It is a very easy program to use. and i think would be very easy for even a novice to use. It has helped clean up my system so much and has helped track installations of new programs so that i can uninstall them a lot easier. it has helped me improve the performance of my PC so that applications run a lot smoother and faster.
