VLC Media Player is a free software media player which acts as a multimedia player, encoder and streamer.

I use VLC to watch all the videos I watch on my computer which are mainly AVI format.

VLC will play almost anything and so far I have not tried to load something up on it which wont play.

From my ecxperience of other media players this is the best. The layout is basic, making it very easy to use.
I don't know if it includes anything fancy, but Play, Stop, Pause, Forward, Back, and Volume Control are good enough for me.

Another advantge of the software is that it requires very little power from your PC to run it, so you can watch videos while running things in the background with little or no loss of performance.

All in all I recommend this to anyone who watch movies, etc on their PC. You might aswell download it, it is free anyway.
