Advantages: Easy to install, relatively cheap when running lots of VMs

Disadvantages: You require powerful hardware to run ESX

Vmware ESX is the enterprise version of the popular VMware product, with the Workstation or Server variants being used for home users and small businesses.

Vmware ESX provides a small layer of software between the bare metal of a servers or cluster of servers which allows you to run multiple vitual machines that utilise one or more servers as its host.

At my company we have 5 HP Proliant servers playing host to over 20 virtual machines. The really great thing about VMware is that because virtual machines can run off any host you have fault tolerance if any host should go down.

You also save money on equipment and power usage because you only have a couple of physical CPUs and power supplies etc running mutiple virtual machines with multiple CPUs.

The installation of Vmware ESX is very easy, its literally a next, next finish type affair and once your up and running with the GUI interface, making configuration type changes to your virtual machines is simple

Summary: VMware is a great asset to enterprise size businesses.

Welcome to Dooyoo
As a consumer website the info you give here is good but its rather technical. Short of Googling the company I have no idea what a VMware does or supposed to offer. What for example does "its literally a next, next finish type affair," mean?

Adding info isn't compulsory but simplifying and adding a lot more text with clearer explanations may well boost the product you are reviewing here as well as informing buyers with clearer info.
