... bought Norton Utilites because it was on offer along with Norton Anti Virus. I wasn't too convinced it'll do what it says on the box. However, after installing the software, I was quite surprised with its usefulness. The software does a number of things such as defragments your HD, optimizes your computer, checks for windows problems, backs up system registry and even puts extra protection on the recycle bin. The software can check your pc and in particular, windows to see if there are any problems. You can ask it to automatically repair any problems. Most of the time it does a pretty good job. When you run the programme it gives you a huge list of things that are wrong with you system. Infact you might even panic as things always look much worse than you thought they were. The tools included in this Utility package will sort the errors out though, so there's not much for you to do. It basically patches up your pc when it starts to go wrong on you. ... recently installed norton utilities into my machineand the results of the first scan of my disc etc alarmed me. according to all the scanning that had been carried out there was something like 19 faults.i opted for the repair faults option which rightly the programme did. on rebooting the computer i got as far as the windows logo at the beginning of the reboot when the computer crashed and kept on crashing time and time again,so i decided i would start the computer in safe mode. luckily i had backed up all my files previously and simply told the backup wizard to restore the files. to my great delight i have been able to get the computer operational again and have decide...
