Time for a rant on behalf of all those people who have to suffer the incompetence and neglect from a virtual monopoly who were given the right by a Tory government to reap huge profits for providing an essential service.

Yep if you are an unfortunate resident of Northampton you have to take your water from good old Anglian Water and as such in the last six months you will have experienced a pretty poor service.

On two ocasions in the last six months our home has been without a water supply, on one occasion for two whole days where you had to purchase mineral waterto drink and wash with.

Then three days ago they announced that the water is not safe to drink as it contains a virus in it that will lead to outflows from both ends of your body and stomach cramps. This is actually a good thing for Anglian Water as they will make more profits, why I hear you ask, well they also charge you for sewage handling so puke away residents of Northampton, if you are on a meter it is all chargeable. Also don't forget you will also get to boost the coffers of the power companies as you boil all of your water to drink.

If tht is not enough this morning the water pressure s so low I could not have a shower and to really cap things oiff through the post today I got a water bill. At least ther customer services person was helpful when I rang although whether they do anything is another matter. OK rant over from me.
