British gas what a joke this company is i would not recommend them to my worse enemy. There customer service is somewhat to be desired and they are a nightmare to get through to. I switched from scottish power to british gas about 8 months ago and ame in and we had gas and electric with them. The electric was never a problems but the gas account was never set up properly dispite numerous phone calls to them. We enden up paying nearly £70 a month to cover the gas and electric but when the electric bill came in we were in credit due to the covering of the gas which defeated the object of paying more to cover the gas so we wouldnt be landed with a massive gas bill. We contacted them and they had by then set up but we had the whole bill to pay for we were not amuse and they offered us a month free due to the cock up even though it was there incompetence. We have since switched to another company and capped our prices for 12 months

Summary: i wouldnt recommend
