Advantages: Gas and Electic suppliers as we all know

Disadvantages: Service, high prices

I had a account with British Gas for 2 years and decided to leave them this year. My bills had started to go well above average prices so I left them. When calling the up on the phone they told me they did not want a meter reading of me! I was a little surprised by that and asked them why not as it would be last time with them. I was moving rented homes to so I really need to give the meter reading.

After paying my final bill in Jan they sent me a bill in April to the old address. I thought the account had been shut down but that was not the case as I had been sent another final bill! The letter said because I did not give a final meter reading they were charging me for this.

After explaining the matter to them they still did not listen to me. The collection team for the company kept calling me.They expected me to pay 200 pounds for something which was their fault. After their kept calling me they offered me a small cut on the price of 50 pounds making the final bill cheaper.I ended up paying the amount to them and finally got my account closed with them. In the time I been with them I really thought their service was horrible.

Summary: Best company for gas and electric nah! Switch to E ON
