Yet another update on Scottish Gas. I was informed this morning that the part for my tumble drier had been received by the gas engineer but unfortunately it was an old part! This meant that the job would have to be rescheduled until a new part could be found. It will be three weeks on Wednesday 18th. July since the fault was reported and we have ... Hi I too am struggling with British Gas who are now threatening me with legal proceedings for a debt I CAN PROVE I DON'T OWE!!!! It started back in September 2006 when I realised the electricity day rate meter reading was not on the bill. We had not long bought the house and were busy refurbishing it. I rang British Gas to get the ... Read the complete review

British Gas I felt I had to write this review after having to deal with this company for the first time and being pretty disappointed. Having moved into a new flat and coming from a flat where all the bills were included in the rent meaning never having to deal with all these companies and now having to set up ... So not many people have anything nice to say about British gas. Neither do I. However I recently had an experience with them and thought by sharing it, some one else could have the same experience. So bare with the boring bits, if your having trouble with British gas (and lets be honest if your with them you will be having trouble) ... Read the complete review

I am sitting at home with nothing to do so I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you all about my thoughts and experiences of British Gas. As some of you are aware and obviously some of you are not, I moved into a lovely new house last July. When I moved in I had to, of course, sort out my gas and electrcity supply. My partner ... How to sort your disputes with the big BG I had quite a horrible experience with british gas: The Problem: I moved into my new address and within two weeks received a bill for £91 despite me giving them an accurate starting meter read. I think that this is common place policy for british gas to do this, send you a crazy bill just to ... Read the complete review

The word "British" should be only allowed in the case of a national institution of which the country as a whole is proud. This bunch of clowns can't even answer the phone before 20 minutes and use a premium rate number, yes 0845 is premium rate. It costs me 10p per min to ring it and it's free for landlines. Ask them for a ... Read the complete review

British gas are nothing more than gloryfied con merchants. After paying my bills on time everytime they are now demanding £400 for a quarters supply when its usualy £170 - £225! They insist its correct and if i dont pay they will cut me off. Something realy needs to be done. The one star has only been given so i can post, they deserve minus 1000000, robbing gits.

I have had a nightmare with my homecare agreement with british gas. I have never used it until now, and now that I have a blocked toilet, the dyno rod engineer came out - on the first visit - and said the toilet needed to be removed and he could not do it. On the second visit the same engineer came out and said actually it has been badly fitted ... Read the complete review

This is a copy of the letter that I have just sent off to British Gas. I don't understand how the continually keep getting away with treating the British public like they do. I think its time we take power back. I am writing to convey my dismay at the appalling behaviour and shocking customer service of British Gas with regards to an ... Read the complete review

British Gas are forever sending out hugely overestimated increases in direct debits. I have, within the past year, received one for an increase from £54 p.m. changing to £175 p.m.which when queeried was due to a "computer error" and was reduced to £75.This has now happened another four times and always due to a computer error. British Gas 3 star service is very good for central heating problems. I did cancel it for a while as my bank, Barclays offered what they said was the equivalant cover through the Barclays Additions Plus Account. It is not! The actual cover they offer on phoning for a problem with cental heating was pathetic and I was not covered. I have now lodged ... Read the complete review

British Gas is a well established energy company. It sells gas and electricity. I am not happy with British Gas. From March it will charge £5 for people who don't pay the bill on time. This is a very stupid thing to do for British Gas as the bills that I have been getting in the past year had been arriving a month after the billing ... Read the complete review

BRITISH GAS..... Yes, 28 years! Never used another supplier as I didnt believe in swapping to save money. However i did ask if i could have a direct debit set up after moving into a much more energy efficient house and receiving our first quarterly bill. What a joke British Gas are. I moved down south nearly 5 years ago, moved into our flat with key meter for the electric and was with another company, I had always been with British Gas, so changed over to them, finally after about 6 months. I know I have rated them 1 star, that's only because you have to give at least 1 star. In my view they're not worth even a single star. Last year I went through a painful divorce and one of the tasks I had to do was change the name on the gas an electric accounts, both with British Gas from his name to my name as I was staying in the house ... Last October my wife accepted the assurances of a salesman that BG would 1) supply gas and electricity cheaper than our then current supplier 2) not increase the prices for the next two years. I had an emergency breakdown of my boiler. I called up BG and was appointed with an 8 to 1 o'clock slot time during which an engineer would visit two days later.
