I thought that that would grab your attention. uswitch.com is a website that is completely free to use, and is designed to help save you money. And it can work too! And its free to use! And its not full of annoying pop-up adverts or banners, and neither do they sell your email address on to porn sites etc etc. WHAT IS IT ??? www.uswitch.com, put simply is a website that will trawl through all the available utility companies that supply in your area and tell you what the cheapest option is for you. Its been a while since I followed the advice of uswitch.com, because every time I've checked back, I've found that I am still with ...  Read the complete review

Ever since just about every public utility got deregulated, the average householder has been inundated with junk mail, not to mention 'cold-calling' phone calls, usually when your are eating, or worse still, foot-in-the-door salespeople, all of whom are singing the praises of some service or other, but in my view, lacking any real hard data to back their claims. Them: 'Oh, yes sir, on a house this size, I'd expect to shave £60/year of your combined heating and lighting bill'. Me: 'Well it just so happens that I've got the last two year's meter readings handy - perhaps you could be more specific!' Exit ...  Read the complete review

I wonder how many people are like me? Sitting at home, enjoying a nice cup of tea when there is a knock at the door and I cringe. Before I even get close to the front door I am filled with a fear knowing that I am going to be subjected to a barraging from the person on the other side. The offender is not a baliff, or social worker, but the next in a long line of "Service Providers". It is becoming impossible to get away from the companies who come to the door, cold calling to try and get you to sign up to their energy supplier, and you can argue all you like, but the particular supplier that day will try to persuade you that their company will ...  Read the complete review

Right! Hands up. Who's still with British Gas and the local electricity company? If you are there's a very good chance that you're actually throwing a lot of money away, possibly a hundred pounds or more a year and you need to be looking for a better deal. Changing suppliers is relatively simple although it will take a little time (usually between 28 and 45 days) for all the changes to go through, but once they have done you'll be saving money. The changes are all paperwork ? there are no pipes or wiring to be altered and there's no interruption to your supply. Your new supplier will even contact your old supplier to arrange the transfer ...  Read the complete review
