Well, I signed with EDF a couple of years back as I was gullible enough to listen to their promises of 'low prices for ever', 'duel fuel savings' etc. Now I feel like a dual fool! Electricity price crept up slowly - fair enough. Then a gas bill for just over £2500! What?!?!? Customer services told me it was because of estimated bills. Absolute ... Read the complete review

Tried to migrate to them a couple of months ago.. totally incompetent from start to finish. First they phoned me telling me there were two meters (one is unused) and I told them which one I used. It turns out they did exactly the wrong thing and unless I migrate both meters my current supplier won't allow the migration to go ahead.. EDF should ... Read the complete review

I have been an edf customer for five and a half months now and felt that I needed to give credit where credit is due. I cannot really review their product as we pay for gas and electricity and that's what we get - as you would expect; but I can pass comment on their customer service. I've phoned them on three different occasions and ... Read the complete review

Électricité de France (EDF) is the main electricity generation and distribution company in France. It was founded on April 8, 1946, as a result of the nationalisation of a number of electricity producers, transporters and distributors by the minister of industrial production Marcel Paul. Until November 19, 2004, it was a government corporation, ... Read the complete review

I was previously with Powergen and had all sorts of problems with my meter readings, I ended up owing them about £300 due to wrong meter reads. When I moved we signed up to EDF and they seem alot better, one of the best things is they offer a read and reward scheme for their meter readings. What they do is a week or so before your bill is due ... Read the complete review

I have been with EDF energy for about 5 months. Upon buying my flat I switched from Eon to EDF as based on my estimates of usage they would be cheaper. So far I have been pleasantly suprised. My flat is all electric so I had been quite worried about bills especially in the winter as my only source of heat is from a 3kw portable convector ... Read the complete review

I can't speak highly enough of EDF Energy. Firstly let me emphasize that I am not an employee of EDF and have absolutely no connection (if you excuse the pun) with them whatsoever apart from being a domestic user of their energy. They have been my supplier for both Gas and Electricity in the last two properties that I have ... Read the complete review

Well lets just say that this isnt going to be an objective review as I am rather annoyed at the moment. Anyway, to the topic at hand. In 2007 I moved into a new rented house with several others and noticed that there were several letters addressed to the previous tennents for overdue payments on bills. I immediately rang EDF ... Please excuse this being a rather heated article or opinion, but with the recent price hikes would you really expect anything else. Let me get the positives covered first... it might just make you a little happier. EDF Energy supply both our gas and electric. The bills are always accurate and we pay by direct debit, which saves us a ... Read the complete review

We switched to EDF over 2 years ago when we moved home, and I'd used a couple of price comparison websites and EDF/SWEB came up top every time, so I thought it was my only option. We decided to go for the dual fuel thing and pay by monthly direct debit, at least this way we knew exactly what we were going to be paying each month. They ... Read the complete review

EDF are the best..!! Far better than NPOWER..!! I have been a customer of EDF for almost two years now and I can honestly say, they are a breath of fresh air compared to my previous supplier. (NPOWER) With EDF, my debits are much much lower, I can give my meter readings free of charge online, and if I need to call ... Read the complete review

I'm not going to write a premium review of this, since I don't know enough about the customer service, as I personally don't take care of the electricity service. However, since we've been in this house, there have been between 8 and 10 powercuts, over maybe 18 months. They come at completely random times, and last from between a few seconds to 6 hours. I can't tell you how annoying it is when you're working on something on the computer and the power goes down. Teach me not to write up reviews in Word...
I'm all for edf energy's support of renewable energy and their windfarm project, but if they can't keep up the electricity supply, which is their main function as an electricity company, then surely they should work on that first.
Just a short opinion.

Like most people, we've been feeling the pinch of the soaring gas and electricity prices. I tend to procrastrinate and leave things, but even I had to act when Southern Electric put their prices up by 19%. As you've probably guessed, we switched to EDF, hence this review. Who are EDF? EDF stands for Electricite de ... Read the complete review
