It seems everybody is jumping on the bandwagon to sell services now, gone are the days when the MEB sold electricity and The Gas Board sold gas, the latest is good old Sir Richard Branson whose trusty employee turned up tonight to convince me to change (again!) I recently decided to have central heating installed in my house so duly contacted a number of firms to get some quotes. I checked all the firms I contacted were both Corgi registered and in the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) to ensure peace of mind. I contact Central Heating Direct who advertise both in the Yellow Pages and on the web and made an appointment for one of their sales reps called Richard Linley to come to my house and give me a quote. Believe it or not the gas has been used for quite some time now. But people are starting to get concerned about our planet. 1000's and 1000's of people every month or so invent cost efficient and easy going without gas. Like gas less cars or don't need gas for this and that. Monopoly is the name of the game in gas companies. Like cigarette companies they try to hide the truth from reality. Believe it or not some science has been shot, bought off, or even deeply m**dered by these gas typhoons. You don't think they have the power? When I bought my first house in 1998, I naively thought that Electricity came from Swalec, Gas from British Gas, and duly took the readings from my meters and submitted them to the relevant companies.
