Advantages: Good prices
Disadvantages: none
I am the 'unsolicited sales agent' in question. I feel that it is necessary to explain a few things as I am a bit miffed as to the nature of these words written about me..
Firstly,I would like to thank him/her for recognising that I explained the virtues of npower-that was my job. In terms of not backing anything up with literature, I have always promoted npower based upon the annual savings made, and therefore would insist on showing the customer the savings by comparing the tariffs with their current bills. If necessary, the literature would have come out, but I can only assume that the customer rightly saw the logic in switching fairly early into our chat. All customers are left with the relevant literature and must sign a document to say they understand that they can cancel within 14 days if they wish.
I would however like to appologise about the advert being mentioned to create brand awareness. I was trained to use it to help the customer recognise the brand.(I dropped that pretty quickly around mid-2001 in favour of npower sponsoring the England cricket team -a much better hook I think you'll agree). I would like to assure the customer that the quality of the service, or the tariffs of npower are not subject to whether a naked women is/isn't used in any advertising campaigns!
I worked for npower for about 18 months and in that time I NEVER recieved a complaint..
However, I understand how unscrupulous the market can be, and if anyone has felt genuinely misled they should report that person to OFGEM or the supplier concerned, rather than place the rep's name all over the world wide web.
PS, I feel it is a very good servce. I thought so at the time and still do.
Thanks
Simon Haggo

- 16/09/05 Hi and a warm welcome to dooyoo. Some good info there in your first, well-written review, although a little short. I hope you enjoy the dooyoo experience, as I do. Ray |
