Advantages: They give a good benchmark of how NOT to run customers services

Disadvantages: Company-wide short-term-memory problems and communications skills of a lemur.

I inherited NPower as a supplier when I moved house this year and despite giving them readings on the day I moved in as well as the final reading when I switched to Scottish Power, they still ended up trying to bill me for estimated readings. I also still seem to be addressed as 'the occupier' of my new address, despite my having informed them of my name on at least three occasions. Having rung them again, I'm now hoping that they might get it right next time. Quite apart from all that, my bill seems somewhat higher than I'm used to - and I used to be with British Gas, which is saying something!!!

Very brief and not very helpful. You should provide more details like how long approximately did it take you to get through to a human being, for them to take your name etc. All energy suppliers seem to suffer from a lack of customer service i.e. spending 20 minutes in a telephone queue, spelling names incorrectly , billing people wrongly, inventing phantom accounts, not answering letters, being taken to the regulator. I know other customers and former customers of NPower some who don't mind them and some who hate them.
