RWE Npower is Energy Company. In the old days it was called National Power. It generated electricity. Since changes in the industry it has become supplier of Gas and Electricity to domestic and businesses.

In 2002 National Power was taken over by German RWE.

I have gas and electricity with this company - trading name is npower in the UK. It is one of the biggest suppliers in England. I chose it about three years ago. Then it was offering a very good deal on both gas and electricity.

Over the years I was happy with service, they supplied the energy to my home and I paid the bills.

Earlier in the week Npower decided to increase cost of electricity and gas by over 17%. I appreciate the fact that price of oil has increased substantionally; prices are much higher than other suppliers. Looking at the forums I have discovered that one of the directors has been selling his shares in the company because customers are leaving in droves, thousands have left and I am going to join the bandwagon.

My reason for ending fuel contract with Npower: watchdog has suggested that Npower was unfair to customers with recent price increases.

Thing with all of these energy companies is that they provide the same service. People choose on price. Npower is too expensive to use so I am leaving right now. I have filled in the form on the internet for transfer to another supplier

Summary: put up the price again
