Advantages: ..... will there ever be any advantages ????
Disadvantages: Everything, they mess your bills up and customer service is rubbish
Oh dear, what can i say about N Power?
When i moved into my 1st house, i had a lady knock on the door who was trying to get me to switch to N Power. After 20minutes of her sweet talk i let her in and signed up with them. Yes she promised that the customer service was excellent and that im getting the lowest rates so my bills would be very cheap. After a month i got a bill through for £130 just for electric, i was gob smacked as i was working constantly and was hardly home so i would never be able to run up such a bill. When i rang "the excellent customer service" i was on hold for over 1 hour and when they finally picked the phone up they was passing me to different advisors. I was furious by this time. After another hour on the phone we mananged to get to the bottom of why my bill was so high and thats because they tried to charge for me for 2 months prior to me moving in.
After constant excessive bills and waiting on the phone line hours at a time, i decided to leave and then more trouble started. They wouldnt give my new supplier details they needed so they couldnt go any further. It took 2 months before they finally gave them what they needed.
I am now in a new house which the gas and electric is through N Power. I havent had any problems as of yet and its 7 months down the line. Im not holding out on them being this good as i know full well what they are like. As soon as they start messing up my bills i will leave them.
Out of the whole customer service team there must only be a handful of advisors who will help you out, all the rest are rude and unhelpful!
Summary: Avoid, go with a different supplier

- 14/10/08 These things are always useful to know. I've had no problem with npower, but it's a rip off that they charge more if you don't pay by direct debit. |
