Disadvantages: The worst administration, the slowest to answer calls, the hardest to resolve issues
Why I hate Npower.
Where to start? For years, out of laziness, I stuck with them. Then they suddenly direct debited me for c £ 300, claiming that THEY had undercharged me over the past 5 years.
For the next 18 months, they cocked up bill after bill. Each time I call - waiting ages on hold on premium rate of course - they say they'll sort out the errors, but never do.
For the past 3 months, I've been trying to switch to another supplier. Each month, the new supplier says I cannot switch as I havent paid Npwer. So I call Npower, pay yet again the arbitrary sum they claim is owed, and wait for the account to be switched. And again the new supplier advises Npower still think I owe them money. So I call Npwer, yet again pay the new sum they demand....and so it goes on.
Why do they haunt me so much? I Hate Npoewer now, and cannot stress to any prospective householder how awful their administration is. BEWARE!!!!!

- 08/01/09 I have to agree. I have worked for NPower and you are not alone.
Moreover, they treat their staff in the same incompetant way. I think a bunch of primary school children could do a better administrative job than NPower do.
One can only wonder why a PLC seems so incompetant when it comes to paying money and billing (all goes in their favour of course).
I hope you finally break free...
One word of advice if this continues I would direct you to contact OfGem the governing body and check your bills again for over billing. |
