Good priced green energy (NPower)

Advantages: Never had any problems

Disadvantages: Direct debits keep going up

We have been with npower for six years and have never had a problem with them, or a reason to contact them. We decided to go with them originally as their green tariff was reasonably priced, in fact it is the same price as their normal tariff. They have always given us notice of price rises, unlike some energy companies you hear about who write to tell you that the previous few months will be charged at a new, higher rate. Probably in common with most energy companies, they do tend to raise the direct debits at random by much more than seems necessary ( especially in the summer, as we have storage heaters), as apparently their business would collapse if you owed them 3p, but they are happy to have you many pounds in credit! Still, as I said, I don't think this tendency is confined to npower. Bills are received regularly and are easy to understand. So, overall, no complaints here!
