I was at home way day having a nice relaxing time when somebody knocked on the door and said that I should fill out a form for cheaper bills and that it would make no difference to the service that I would recieve all I had to do was sign.
I took this to be a general thing that was going on and that it was something to do with my gas and electric so I just signed after all who would say no to cheaper bills and everything staying the same.

Maybe I was gullable well actually yes I was but a few days later I got two letters one from British gas saying sorry your going wheres our £200 quid and one from Eastern Electricity saying the same wheres our £150 well I was dumbfounded and rang them screaming into the phone and once I had calmed down they explained that I had signed to close their supply to me and that they could cancel it if necessary.

I felt like I had been duped and the lady that came round had not at any stage explained that I would be moving to a different company in fact she was talking as if it was something everybody had to do.
I spoke to my next door neighbour the next day and asked if they had been to see her and she was also duped into believing it was a across the board thing.
I helped her to cancel and left it as that as I did not want anything to do with NPower after that.

About a week later a man came round demanding to see the meter or some such thing and I said no as he had an NPower ID card and as far as I'm concerned I had cancelled then he started to get quite aggressive saying that I was throwing money away and how I had messed them around,well no more was said I just closed the door after telling him in the politist possible way of course to go.

This kind of salesmanship is out of order in the first place but to then get abused for cancelling that is ridiculous forget cheaper bills I would not go near them with a barge pole and I would suggest that if they come to your door read and ask car
efully before signing anything.
