Disadvantages: poor customer service, very long wait on telephone, keep phoning pestering you to take out other services with them

I would advise you to keep walking if you ever see anyone from this lot trying to flog you gas or electricity they are just so much hassle for your couple of quid off.

I moved just over a year ago and the house i moved into had n power supplying both gas and electricity .I contacted them soon after i moved in to tell them my details so they could get the bills right.

A couple of months later i got my first gas bill and all was fine with that however after 6 months still no sign of an electric bill.So on the phone again and after waiting 20 minutes finally get through to be told "oh we didnt send you a bill because we didnt know your name" even they did know my name for the gas bill.

A week later i get the electricity bill for £280 Wildly over estimated even though i told them the reading over the phone.
So on the phone again "oh we are very sorry the computers down " i was told .

Ten days later i get a correct bill, anyway this happens again the next quater and the next and everytime you phone them on a 0845 number you are kept waiting for over 15 minutes as a minimum .

I was now totally fed up with their customer service so last november I changed my supplier to powergen who are a far better company to deal with free phone numbers and excellent customer service.

But even when you leave N POWER they cant get the bills right,First they disputed my final gas readings but after 2 more phone calls to them they finally sent me the correct final bill.However some 3 months after stopping supplying me with electricity they havent sent me a correct final bill for that .

They never respond to e-mails and trying to get any sense out of any one on the phone is nigh on impossible.
