Not the best, nor the worst (Scottish Power)

We signed a contract with Scottish Power for a dual fuel switch over last year. At the time there was a move to lock into fixed price utilities and prices were due to rocket. I have to say that I haven't received bad service, but then I have never had the need to contact them!

I manage my account online and have the opportunity to go online to log my meter readings to ensure I pay for what I use. I doubt for a minute they are the cheapest for my consumption, and I will compare other providers once my fixed period is up.

Recently, we submitted our meter reading which indicated our direct debit would reduce by£15 per month. The following month they took the full payment, and therefore I intend to test out their complaints procedure if it is not the correct amount this month. So far, they have been reasonable, but I would suggest shopping about. Like many energy providers on comparison websites they all appear like they would actually save you money, but ensure you are realistic about the figures you enter, and whats important to you!
