Advantages: reduced bills, great customer service

I've read a lot of negative reviews about Scottish Power on this site, this maybe one of the few good reviews!

We moved to Scottish Power to escape the clutches of NPower. Npower charged us for power we hadn't used and messed up our bill when we did pay and so compared to NPower, Scottish Power are a dream!
We were actually approached by a door-to-door salesman. I don't usually even bother opening the door to door-to-door salesmen but i'm glad I did. They made the swap over as easy as possible, any problems came from NPower's end.

Since being with Scottish Power they have managed to reduce our bills, we are paying a lot less than we were with NPower and they've set us up on a convenient direct debit to cover the gas and electricity in one payment. Plus if we start using more power or less power they help us to keep on top of our bills. I receive emails and updates on a monthly basis to keep me up-to-date on what has been paid and how much energy we are using so we know whether we should increase or decrease our monthly payments.

I've never had any major problems with Scottish Power but anytime that I have had the need to call them I have received very good customer service. They have managed to solve the problem there and then and I have always been treated like a valued customer.
