This company, like so many others, sparkles and glitters with bargains and deals, and like all the rest of the chatter we now call telco's - they can't deliver. My order has taken 3 and then 5 weeks longer than originally promised. The phones rates have been changed three separate times. The customer service is great as long as you are ordering from them, then turns ambivalent, even rude. The truth is, Utility Warehouse is brokering other people's services. The reason it takes so long for broadband or telephone, gas or electric is that they have to force the major providers to relinquish your account, which takes ages. Bikerchris, I really hope you know what you are doing going to Eclipse (and paying I assume £22 per month WITHOUT phone line rental included?). Have you actually seen the reviews for Eclipse? Get googling, mate! My own experience is very different. Signed up to UW 6 months ago, took 4 services (gas, electricity, phone and broadband). As a package, for me at the time, it represented the best deal out there. If you have loads of time on your hands to constantly check out each particular market and were happy enough to continually switch companies then maybe you could save a few bob but my time is far too precious to be bothered with that. Fantastic company - I have been a customer now for 18 months and def wouldn't change to anyone else. I have all my utilities with them ( gas, elec, broadband, phone, laptop ) and it all comes on 1 bill ! I was previously with AOL for broadband ( rubbish ) could never get through to right person to sort any problems out and took lots of phone calls all charged for by BT. Now all my phone calls are free with utility warehouse so even better ! ! Customer services are brilliant - based in london and all speak very good english and treat you like a real person.
