They supply the water in my area (Somerset) and until recently I have had no contact with them except to pay the extortionate water bill I receive once a year!
Recently though I have contacted them as there was an issue with one of the sewerage points near my house. They had about 5 lorries making constant noise for 48 hours then they left a really noisy pump there (as I believe one of the pumps was broken). After putting up with all the noise with no end in sight, I rang them to ask what was going on.
I was so impressed with the customer service, I called and explained why I was ringing, they took my details and the next day the area manager was knocking at my door to apologize for all the noise!!! Unbelievable customer service, I was not expecting a personal visit and apology! They have since installed a quieter pump until the actual problem is solved.
I would normally moan about customer service, but Wessex Water has outstanding customer service, if only some other companies could follow their lead! Shame about the 5% price increase they have just announced though!
