I had used a friends Vax and loved it and decided to buy one myself as I have 3 children and my carpet gets grubby easily. As the Vax comes boxed you first need to assemble it which I think was relatively easy. Morphy Richards Essentials 73333 ... was my first hoover purchase when moing into my own home and I didnt really know what I was looking for or what I needed but I saw this in my local supermarket at a bargain price and I thought Morphy Ricahrds was a name I could trust. The hoover is fab I couldnt have been any happier with it. It picks up really well and I have 2 young children and a white haired dog ! It has height adjustment at the front so you can change the height settings to adjust to your carpet/floor height. It also comes with a detachable hose and extra attachments for reaching far out places and crevices, fabrics etc. It is a bagless hoover so its very easy to empty and clean by unlocking ... Vax VZL-6013 Mach 3 ... is an excellent, that isn t too overly priced, you can buy one of these for around £85.00. It is 1300 Watts, 150 air watts, has a 2.5 litre dust capacity, HEPA Lifetime washable filtration, carpet height adjuster, telescopic handle, on board tool storage which includes a stretch hose, hurbo tool, hard floor tool, crevice tool, dusting brush and fingertip control and the cable is 7.2 metres in length. I have always had Dysons in the past, but I think this hoover works just as well as a Dyson if not better. VAX Appliances VZL118 ... always only ever had Dysons because I thought that they were the stongest hoovers around - and with 3 kids I definatly need a powerfull hoover! The only problem was that they seemed to die on me within a year and I have not only been through the upright ones but also the smaller ones. I was going through a time where my hoover had broken and I had not yet bought a new one and my friend kindly offered to lend me her Vax force 2. I was absolutely amazed by the fact that it was more powerfull then any hoover I had any used!! I spent over an hour hoovering that day and swore that I would get one myself.
