Asda Smart Price Hand-Held Vacuum Cleaner
by cheekychops83 This is an excellent piece of equipment and on that is so useful around the house. We have two cats and to be honest it is marvellous for cleaning those pet hairs up that seem to get everywhere. There is nothing more annoying in my opinion than having cleaned the house and been around all the rooms with the big vac than ... somebody trudging into the house with muddy feet or the cats bringing in something they should not. You have spent a good hour tidying up and then suddenly your hard work is ruined. This happened to me quite a lot over Christmas. Having guests around for is all good but you cannot help thinking please do not make a mess. For example my brother, his wife and my niece were down on New Years Day from Scotland. All is going well until Jennifer who is only six starts running around and unfortunately knocked the plant over with soil going everywhere. She was very upset but I wasn't at all. I knew that it could be cleaned it very quickly. The suction is very good even with bits of soil and despite it being used on various other bit that seem to make their way into the house it has maintained its power. Because it is hand held its great around kitchen especially where bits of food and crumbs fall off the side and I have even used it over the seats of my car to give it a once over. I have found after playing football grass can often get into the car and again it has little trouble clearing it up. What is important for an item like this is its price and when you can pick one of these up from an Asda living store for as little as £12 then you realise that you are onto a winner. It is certainly something I would recommend and when it comes to value for money I would look no further. Read the complete review |

Asda Smart Price CB9191-D Cylinder
by tasmin92 I brought this from Asda when I moved into my flat because it was cheap at only £20. We figured that it would last us a couple of months until we had a bit more money to buy a better one. It is small at only 4kg and easy to use and it does match up to its incredibly cheap price tag, it seemed to pick up visable dirt after a few go overs. ... Also it needs to be emptied frequently as it has only a 1.8 litre capacity. I wouldnt reccomend using this at night or in the morning if you live in a flat like me as it is very loud. It is a bagless cylinder hoover and has 1200 watts of power. There are no attachments as it really is very basic but it does have a HEPA filter After about 2 weeks the whole of the front hose, which is 1.5 metres long, came off whilst I was using it and had only used it a couple of times before then. I tried to take it back and was told that although I had the receipt and the guarentee, which was supposed to be for a year, that they would not refund or replace it as it was damaged so I replaced it with one from Argos, this was quite a bit more expensive as I did not want a repeat of the one from Asda and when I used the new one I realised that the Asda hoover had actually picked up hardly anything as after using the new hoover once the amount of dirt that came off the carpet was huge! Although its tempting to get a cheaper hoover this is one thing that I would reccomend spending a bit more money on as the budget ones just are not as good. Comments on how I can improve my reviews would be useful as I've not done this before :) Read the complete review |

Asda Smart Price Hand-Held Vacuum Cleaner
by sarah1976 I have had the Asda Smart Price handheld vacuum cleaner for a while now.We have a west highland terrier she has a fine white fur that clings to my stair carpet. I needed something light weight to hoover the stairs whilst pregnant, I did not want to spend a fortune so at around £10 I thought smart price might do the job. I ... have had the smart price kettle toaster etc and found these to be ok, they did the job, however this let the side down. It does pick up but the suction is not great, it is not strong enough for fine dog hair, I found I needed to go over the same area time and time again. I now have a two year old little boy, the vacuum comes in handy now for spills and crumbs etc, but to be honest I think a dustpan and brush might be easier and quicker to use. I would recommend this for older people without kids or pets, as it is lightweight and has a large capacity so does not need emptying all the time. If you dont have much mess and it is just for the occasional clean up then this will do the job. No good if you have kids and a dog! Read the complete review |
