This is a 2.2 liter capacity vacuum cleaner, and for a low cost, I purchased this vacuum cleaner from Argos, first and foremost because it was affordable given my budget, besides, it looked very fancy and of good quality, but sadly, it wasn`t the greatest purchase I have done, but it has had it good moments, so I`m not completely disappointed by it!
With a power capaity of 1600 watts, this vacuum cleaner cleans very quickly, and on carpets and floors alike, it really did a good job, at least at first... Because the problem is that after a while, the vacuum cleaner needs a thorough cleaning out, the dust and dirt collects in the inner system of the product, and it`s a real hassle to clean it out, which you also have to do quite often in order to make it clean properly... That said, when functioning to its potential, this vacuum cleaner works very well, it cleans very efficient and quickly, but sadly, that occurs rarely. The other minor downside, is the fact that I found this vacuum cleaner to be way too heavy in order to manuever it with ease and comfort, it ended up hurting my hands and arms quite a bit, and I found it difficult to manuever it under chairs and tables and such, and I concluded with it really being too heavy!
With a bright red color and a funky modern design, this vacuum cleaner does look appealing and of good quality, but it really disappointed me a lot, and adding to the misery a very high noise level, this is a vacuum cleaner that I deeply regret having bought, and I will probably be looking for a new model from a different store pretty soon! If I remember correctly, I believe I paid 60 pounds for this product, and all though that came across as a bargain, I now deeply regret having fallen for it, as this was a pretty lousy vacuum cleaner, not working at all well and being a pain to clean!
I bought this as my first vacuum cleaner for my new flat. I wanted a no fuss vacuum cleaner which wouldn't set me back a lot of money. I liked the nice bright red colour and design and thought the different carpet settings was a good idea. The first use was fine - the floor was covered in bits from moving in and it seemed to get up most of the mess. The second time I could tell already that it wasn't picking up much so altered the settings. There are different settings on the machine so that you can adjust it depending on whether you're cleaning a hard surface or plush carpet - however, this did not make much difference. In fact the only difference was that the already heavy machine it became harder to push and meant that I kept having to take breaks!
The filter on the vacuum was really difficult to clean which meant that I never wanted to use it. The main roller wasn't picking up general mess by the second use. In fact by the third time I used it I cleaned the entire flat just using the hose nozzle thing because there was virtually no suction!
I spent £50 on the vacuum from Argos which I thought was an absolute bargain at the time. It is very cheap for a vacuum cleaner but £50 is still a lot of money at the end of the day. I now regret not taking it back to Argos to get a refund but we just assumed that we hadn't either cleaned it out properly or weren't using it correctly, but from other sites it seems like this is a common issue! Spend an extra couple of pounds and get something that works!
I really hate to just rant and list many bad things but add to the already bad review that the cleaner was very very noisy, it just wasn't good value.
There is a happy ending to the story however. We left it outside the house for the binmen to pick up the next day and within an hour it had already been nicked by some neighbours! I hope they found some use for it! It's just a shame we wasted our money!
