My Dyson lives upstairs in the airing cupboard as it's too bulky to be lugging around the house so downstairs we have a little vacuum cleaner who lives in the cupboard under the stairs.
Recently the bagged vacuum I bought in Asda went kaput! It made a fizzing noise and just stopped working, so I went looking at the Argos catalogue and found this, I must admit it's not the prettiest vacuum cleaner and not a patch on my dearly departed Henry (who will be replaced asap! when funds allow) but it is a good vacuum for the under £30 price tag.
I only use this over the laminate and kitchen tiles ohh and over the rug but it picks up most little bits, including teeny lego bits!
It has a blue coloured base and the removable top is clear, through this you can see what dirt and dust has been collected eww! This top part - the dust collector holds 2 liters of dirt/dust.
On the front is a dial which allows you to adjust the suction. The power cord is an ample 5m and winds back in using a foot operated button.
The telescopic pole extends to a decent height allowing you to push it along without too much bending over.
The foot is removable so you can get into corners using just the pipe bit.
For £28 it's a decent little vacuum and picks up well, it tackles the stairs with ease too and sit's neatly on the step without getting in the way.
This hoover is fantastic, why fork out lots of your hard earned money when you can get a perfectly good vacum cleaner for £25! I had just bought my first house and needed to get all of the essentials at a reasonable price so when i spotted this bargain hoover from the Argos Value range i thought i'd give it a go. I actually think it sucks up better than a Dyson, it is fantastic and my carpets always look really clean after i've hoovered with this. Even tricky little things that are usually hard to suck up with a vacum come up great, even those stubborn cat hairs!
I love the fact that its bagless so that you don't have to constantly keep changing your hoover bag and buying them too. It has a dust capacity of 2 litres too which isn't bad at all, then you just simply empty it into your bin. It easily comes apart to allow you to do that. The hose is 1.5m long so there is plenty of length in it and the power lead is 5m long and you just pull it out of the hoover as long as you want it and then simply push a button which rewinds the lead back in when your done with it, so you don't have the hastle of having to wind the lead up when your done hoovering.
It is suitable for all floor types and is value for money at it's best!
