I bought my Bissel Easyvac just over a year ago [so it is just out of warranty] and I would not recommend it. For the first few months it cleans adequately , but then suddenly in the middle of hoovering it starts laying dust and filth all over the carpet, no problem, I thought just clean the filters. To do this you must refer to the instruction manual as it is akin to de-commissioning a nuclear submarine. I washed the myriad of filters and left them out in the sun for a whole day to dry, then re-assembled it, at first it's ok but within a few hoovers it is back to spreading muck, it seems to me that it is impossible to fully clean the filters once they are dirty so I am going to dump this piece of garbage and buy a bagged vacuum cleaner [from what I've heard bagless vacuum cleaners are all rubbish and stop working properly within a year or two]. As is often the case the older technology is simpler and better.
