Express Review on Bissell Easy Vac

Bought this EasyVac to "upgrade" from a 20 year old vacuum that barely worked. It worked fine for the first use (although very noisy). It has only gotten worse with every use, sprays dust everywhere, the brush shoots debris out the back into your feet. I tried using it again a couple days ago thinking maybe it magically started working properly and it made my room dirtier than it was before. I literally swept the carpet in my room with a broom for much better results. EasyVac is garbage.

I bought my Bissel Easyvac just over a year ago [so it is just out of warranty] and I would not recommend it. For the first few months it cleans adequately , but then suddenly in the middle of hoovering it starts laying dust and filth all over the carpet, no problem, I thought just clean the filters. To do this you must refer to the ...  Read the complete review

A couple of years ago, my Grandparents decided to buy my Mum and Dad a vacuum cleaner for their Wedding Anniversary. It wasn't what you'd call a special gift (for more than one reason) but after thirty odd years of marriage, my folks were more concerned with practicalities than sentimentality! Max the Vax, as he's known as, is a complete ...  Read the complete review

My most interesting hoover to date. I dont do MUCH housework, being 19 and arguably veryy lazy! But when i picked up the Bissel from ASDA for £38 i was actually eager to try out this bagless craze. The first use was really good, picked up all my little brothers crummies from the THICK living room carpet, and the attachments ...  Read the complete review

Rubbish Bought Bissell Easy Vac from Asda @ £43. Was impressed with the suction but it blows a lot of air & dust out. The second time using it, it burnt a hole in my living room carpet. BISSELL arranged for a collection and tested it out and found nothing then blamed me for the vacuum tipping over when using the ...  Read the complete review

When I moved into my first flat I was on a tight budget, so when I saw this in Asda for £25 I thought I'd spotted a bargain. Most hoovers seem much more pricey, so I bought one. At first this hoover was fine, it picked up most dirt and dust although some spots did need going over a few times, but I figured - you get what you ...  Read the complete review

Floor damaging Bissell Easy Vac (174 words)

I bought this vacuum cleaner from Asda for £30 as a quick and cheap way to clean up pet hairs. It wasn't easy to put together- my machine's handle didn't fit too well so I had to take it to pieces to make it work without it coming out of the socket during use. The motor is extremely noisy and scared the living daylights out of my cats. ...  Read the complete review

I bought the Bissell Easy Vac from Asda for £30. Before I bought it i looked at some online reviews of the product on thier website a I had not heard of Bissell before and everything I read was really possitive. I live in a small 2 bed house and needed something lightweight to get up and down the stairs and which was small enough to ...  Read the complete review

I bought this hoover as a replacement for my old one. I saw it in Asda when I was doing my weekly shop and bought it there and then as it was £30.00. This hoover has many pros. It is lightweight so if easy to carry up and down the stairs. It is bagless and therefore really easy to empty. You just need to pull out a lever that in ...  Read the complete review

I bought this vac for my elderly (86 years!) mother and wow! this is a fairly powerful wee thing which she finds easy to manoeuvre and handle. Initially after I purchased this for her, I was a bit concerned that it looked too "plastic" and may not be up to the job. I have to admit to being a bit of a Dyson snob - ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Bissell Easy Vac
by DMT - written on 11/06/09
Rating:

I really don't understand the views of the previous poster. I paid £49.99 for this machine and I am delighted with it. No, it's not built like a Bentley, but a few scratches on the plastic don't really bother me when it's tucked away in the cupboard, and to be honest, I'd rather the vacuum got scratched than my furniture! It's light, easy to use, and seems to do a remarkable job of getting dirt out of the carpet. I like that the controls are at the bottom as it means there is no need to bend over, and I found the dirt container and filters easy to remove, unlike the previous reviewer. You get what you pay for, and in my opinion, this is more than worth the money. Well done Bissell!!
