Handy Hoover (Black & Decker PV1805)
Member Name: countrygrooms
Advantages: compact, easy to use Disadvantages: loses suction, poor battery life My husband bought me one of these for Xmas (!!??). It is a nice handy hoover to have around with a small child and definately saves me lugging the hoover up and down stairs frequently. However saying that it is quite bulky and not the lightest hand held hoover i have experienced. It is handy for the home and the car- my only critisisms being that the battery is a bit short of battery life and it does take an hour or two to fully charge. I have a small corsa and can only get 1/2 way round the car before the battery gives up! In addition ours seems to have lost suction and we are yet to find out why. The hoover is a bit trickly to empty and never seems to release as much rubbish as it sucks up!? It sucks things up but when you put the hoover back onto the stand it spits it all back out again! I think this maybe only a minor problem and seems to be caused by a blockage somewhere but nothing too obvious. Also one thing i would say is that the extendable nozzle is a bit feeble and does tend to clip itself back in wihtin minimal force put upon it! I also find that it is not quite small enough to fit in some nooks (such as next to seats in a car) so could maybe do with an additional attachment. However aside from the suction issues this is a handy little hoover- i would however recommend that for a mid-range appliance cheaper alternatives are available. Summary: good handy hoover for light use
