Here is a warning for anyone thinking of buying themselves a Bosch BSA-2810 vacuum cleaner... DONT!!
My mother bought one of these and although I am not sure exactly how much she paid for it, it was over £50 which in my opinion was about £50 too much. The troubles with this began when the Automatic cable reel stopped working correctly and you had to push the button and then feed the cable in yourself (not exactly automatic then eh)? Then she noticed that she had to clean the filter almost every time she used it to get maximum suction from the cleaner and even when you get maximum suction it's not great. The biggest problem is that it is a bag type Hoover which does not like having a bag in it. Every time you fit a new bag it falls off because the lip to hold it is nowhere near big enough.
This vacuum cleaner has been a nightmare for my mum from beginning to end and as far as I am concerned is totally useless at doing the job it is supposed to do even when it is working fine which isn't often. My mum had this replaced after 6 weeks but the new one done exactly the same and then they would not replace it choosing rather to send it for repair, after three repairs my mum gave up and took the loss on the chi and went out and bought herself a Vax which thankfully to this date she has had no problems with whatsoever!

Summary: A total waste of money!

Nar2 - 18.06.08 Welcome to Dooyoo. A fair start here but theres nothing much about this product you've experienced other than the problems your mother has had. Therefore unless youve actually used it its impossible to judge on whether this vacuum is useful to buy or not or for that matter how long its been owned for.
If the paper bag falls off the lip then it hasn't been inserted properly (unless its the wrong bag type) and should lock into place. |
