Advantages: Easy To Use, Efficient, Design, Works Well

Disadvantages: Maintenance, Cleaning Filters After Every Use, Not Cheap

I have used this vacuum cleaner for a long time and it has done a fair job but it's not the most reliable vacuum cleaner I have had compared to my last Dyson. You can buy it for around £100, which is quite pricey considering the problems I've had with it. It has a modern design, and it's mostly grey with a translucent orange part on top.

The hoover comes with a long pipe that connects easily to the base along with a wide brush for the end, which is used to sweep the floors and collect dirt. All the dirt goes through the pipe into a grey plastic box within the hoover. There are several filters - one on the outside and one inside, which must be emptied after every use as well as the dirt. We had problems with our hoover after not emptying the filters every time, which causes a build up.

There was also once a large bit of dirt stuck down a pipe, which needed removing for the hoover to efficiently pick up dirt again. The hoover easily opens up by pressing down one part and lifting up the orange section to get to the box where the dirt is held. This is where the internal filter is too. The vacuum cleaner is easy to use as it has wheels so can slide across the floor but it annoyingly gets stuck behind objects and won't slide onto rugs and off - instead just pulling them along the floor.

The pipe, which leads from the hoover, is initially bendy to give some flexibility whilst using the hoover, but the end bit is long and straight made of a solid plastic. On the end, you can fix on the brush to do floors or just leave nothing on it if you want to suck up dirt from corners or other places. The brush collects all dirt and certain things may stick to it, which is useful as you can just take it out and let it get sucked up whilst the hoover is on - all the rest is sucked up in the first place.

You can switch it on by pressing down the button on the top, which also turns so you can adjust the strength of the suction. I usually have it on full but it can get really loud sometimes. I'd recommend this hoover as it does do a very good job and is easy to use rather than pushing the whole machine round, you can just use the stick and brush and the hoover on it's wheels will follow.

Thanks for reading,

Dan ©

Bosch make good vacuums generally; their bagged versions are also now being sold with John Lewis labels.

Overall a very good opinion here although it's a pity you have to clean the filters after every use; something on a Dyson that you don't have to do or if you had a bagged Bosch.
