Advantages: Lightweight, good suction, easy to change bags etc.
Disadvantages: Brush attachment clogs relatively easily
We have had this unassuming cleaner for nearly three years now and its performance over that time has been good and consistent, its ability to cope with a relatively small size property well proven.
The cleaner is lightweight and easy to manouevre and comes with a good range of different attachments to reach trickier areas. The bags are easy to empty and change, and reasonably readily available fairly inexpensively. The cleaner is quite noisy when in use, but no worse than say the average washing machine or other hosuehold appliance.
The suction power is good, although the brush could be improved - it does attract hairs and fluff but seems to do a better job of gathering them into a mass that sticks in the bristles, rather than loosening them from the carpet for sucking into the bag. The best way to overcome this is to detach the brush from the hose every now and again and use the hose to vacuum the brush!
Main gripes with the cleaner would be the limited bag capacity - more of a problem if you live in an old and dusty property like ours, or have pets. Also needs to be kept horizontal when in use and has a habit of trying to turn itself vertical if the cord is pulled too tightly.
Summary: Does what it says on the box - good straightforward choice for uncomplicated cleaning jobs

- 15/04/09 Good review here - sounds like a good vacuum. If I was in the market for this I'd like to know if its expensive to buy, where to get the bags and the actual capacity - how long do you get through one bag generally? Also is it noisy? Does it have enough cord? Plastic pipes or metal?
Updatin g your review isn't compulsory but by exploring more you can benefit buyers. If you update your review please message me. Also the standard floor brush is like many - in my expertise you can buy a cheap turbo "roller" brush for increased pick up which would minimise cleaning the straight line stiff bristles. |
