The Dirt Devil DD9001 vaccum is all about it's bagless feature. There really isn't much to it's credit except that it glides along the surface smoothly.

It's very bulky and an effort has to be made to move it from one room to another. Storage is another problem with this item. You have to have a good deal of space in your cabinets/closets for this cleaning gadget.

I had used Bissel and Hoover brands earlier and i was also happy with the Bissel portable vaccum that had the brush attachment (for use on regular house floors) and after detaching it, it could be used on furniture and even inside the car and other places. I would have continued to use that small vaccum but I felt the nees of one that would cover a large area at a time. i am a cleanliness freak and cannot tolerate dirt at all so I bought this DD9001 but I must say that i was better off with the light weight portable one.

In a nutshell, this vaccum is a real no no. Look for better ones available that can be folded away and have various attachments for drapery and furniture and are easily glidable with very little effort or push.
