Good, bad and sad (Dirt Devil DD9600 1600)
Member Name: fussybuyer
Advantages: great adjustable suction, versatile tools, long cord length Disadvantages: Filters clog easily, size/weight, died at 6 months old!
I bought the Dirt Devil to replace my sadly departed Dyson, much as I loved it I couldn't afford another one. I was absolutely delighted with the Dirt Devil dare I say it was even better than the Dyson (which to be fair was the original model) the cleaning and suction were brilliant, the tools were great, the brush attachment was particularly good for dusting, the hose stretched right to the top of the stairs and when using the attatchments the Dirt Devil remained upright unlike some others I have tried, the long cord was great as I could plug it in in the kitchen and hoover the kitchen, conservatory, lounge, dining room, hall and stairs without having to keep switching sockets . It made cleaning a breeze the variable suction meant that for the first time in years my silk flowers got cleaned, and I could hoover the cat's hairs off of the table cloth and leave the cloth and flower vase on the table!
