Advantages: no bag required, hoovers extremely well

Disadvantages: some of the parts break easily

I bought my Dyson about 18 months ago and it is the best vacuum cleaner I have owned. It picks up crumbs etc without you having to re-do the same area twice. With a messy toddler, I am often hoovering twice a day.

It has a few attachments for cleaning the stairs, skirting boards, and hard to reach places. It cleans very well in my kitchen where I have a wooden floor.

Cleaning it is very simple, all you do it empty the cyclinder into the bin (as there is no bag required) and then wash the cylinder out.

I bought it from a catalogue and unfortunately after 6 months I noticed a crack on the handle, so I phone my catalogue to let them know, and they replaced the Dyson with a new one - no questions asked!!

I have had my current Dyson for just over 12 months and my daughter has pulled on the wire and you can now see the coloured wires sticking out, so I will have it repaired.

The good thing about Dysons is that you get a 3 year manufacturers warranty with it, unlike the standard 1 year. I also opted for an extended guarantee for 5 years, and I am glad I did.
