We bought a dyson dc01 nearly 2 years ago. We have had problems ever since. We have had to send it back 3 times. We have agreed NEVER to buy Dyson again. It picks up, but no better than any other hoover, and the extension has very poor suction power. Also, when you empty it, dust goes everywhere. They say it is 'bag free' but I would rather buy bags than their extortionate filters! 2 filters for 12.00!! The machine takes 2 different filters, it is an absolute rip off. I hoover twice a day, (I have young children) and I need to replace the filters once every 6 weeks. It is an extremely expensive hobby!. If anyone reads this and can recommend a good hoover, please let me know as I am the end of my tether with this Dyson.
