Advantages: easy to use and empty

Disadvantages: doesn't cope well with picking up long hair!

We have had this vacuum cleaner for around 3 years and cannot really fault it. It has excellent pick up- better than any other manufacturer that i have used in the past. One thing that i would comment on is that there are 3 people in our house with long hair which obviosuly gets on the carrpet. This Dyson is maybe not the best equipped to deal with picking up long hair as it often gets very tangled in the undercarriage of the hoover. This means that about once every fortnight i need to attack it with scissors and cut away the hair that is tangled in the bottom. If i had thought about it more carefully, i would have thought about buying the animal dyson to cope with the hair but that is really the only thing that i could fault it on. Really easy to empty and clear out and loads of little attacchments which come in handy!

Summary: would maybe consider dyson animal for my needs but excellent product
