Advantages: Power, futuristic looks, makes housework "fun"

Disadvantages: clear cylinder shows how much dirt is in your house

It must be something about technology that gets us men excited. I mean, how often does something come along that actually makes you want to do the housework?

The Dyson DC01 looks futuristic and is amazingly powerful. It is solidly built and you can see the dirt from your floors spinning round in the clear plastic cylinder (yuck!). This means that you can also see when you need to empty it.

Yes, modern technology can be a wonderful thing. The Dyson revolutionised the vacuum cleaner and this was a giant step forward. It is much better than any other vacuum cleaner I've used and it does leave the carpets looking clean. The handle comes off to for the extension which is incredibly long and is great for reaching the corners of rooms or the tops of stairs.

The only strange thing about the Dyson is that I find it leaves a strange smell behind for short while. I don't know what it is and it's not a bad smell, but it is noticeable.

The only downside to the Dyson's power is that it does tend to blow loose pieces of paper off desks and coffee tables if they aren't weighted down. Minor criticism of an excellent product. Who'd have thought the housework could be this attractive?
